Trips and Tours Minimize

 

We invite residents and non-residents to join us on our 2013 trips and tours. Phone registration can only be taken with a DISCOVER, VISA or MASTERCARD! A 50% deposit is due at the time of registration to hold your space. Balance is due 30 days prior to trip date. We cannot guarantee group seats together, either in the venue or on the bus. If you need special facilities, such as handicapped accessibility, please notify the Department at the time of registration and we will make every effort to accommodate you. Day trips and tours are sold as complete packages only. No member or senior discounts on overnight tours. All P&R Refund policies in effect. Consumption of alcoholic beverages on the bus/van is prohibited. REGISTER EARLY!! Trips not meeting minimum participation requirements must be cancelled at least 32 days prior to actual trip date – Don’t delay.

 

DAY TRIPS
!!! New Departure Location !!! Day Trips leave from the main parking lot at Warminster Community Park (WCP), 1100 Veterans Way, Warminster (unless otherwise noted). Departure: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time. For more info: (215)443-5428.


BLUE MOUNTAIN SKI TRIP
Date: Sat, February 1, 2014
Time: 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
Fees: $30 R $35 NR
(no member discount)
Deposit due by December 22
Just in time for holiday giving! Head to Blue Mountain for snowboarding or skiing and leave the driving to us! Fee includes motorcoach bus. Discount lift tickets can be purchased at the WREC until Friday, January 31st. Youth under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Click here to sign up.

GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE
Date: Sat, April 26, 2014
Time: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM
Deposit due by March 21
Fees: $45/R $55/NR
Discover “Grounds For Sculpture”, a year-round outdoor contemporary sculpture museum. Spend your afternoon strolling over 270 contemporary sculptures from around the world, within the 42 magnificently-landscaped acres and three exhibition buildings. In addition to the museum enjoy the arboretum and shopping at Toad Hall, where you’ll find a unique gathering of artisans and designer creations. Lunch at the highly rated Rat’s Restaurant (fine dining), The Peacock Café (casual dining) or The Gazebo (light snacks). ELLIS ISLAND & STATUE OF LIBERTY
Date: Saturday, May 10, 2014 
Deposit due by August 1, 2014
Time: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM 
Fees: $60/R $65/NR 
We'll travel to Liberty State Park in NJ, catch the ferry to Ellis Island and then on to the Statue of Liberty. Ellis Island is open to visitors with some restrictions while damage from Hurricane Sandy continues to be repaired. Visitors may stop in the American Family Immigration History Center to research their family immigration records and explore the Great Hall. If you haven't been to Ellis Island, this is a great family trip! Fee includes round-trip motorcoach & ferry transportation and pedestal access (crown not included).
